Kyndle Country is a perfect hub for shipping and transportation. The Ohio River meets the Green River and Tradewater River here in a nexus of interstate highways, rail, water and air transportation options. A one-day drive reaches two-thirds of the population of the U.S., including major markets such as Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Detroit, Kansas City, Memphis and St. Louis, making Northwest Kentucky the perfect location for just-in-time deliveries.

Interstate

CSX

Interstate 69 runs through the heart of Northwest Kentucky, providing easy access to Interstate 64 to the north and Interstate 24 to the south. Additionally, major U.S. highways 41 and 60 along with the limited access Audubon Parkway cross through Northwest Kentucky, providing highway access throughout the region.

Railroad

CSX

CSX offers Class A rail service throughout northwest Kentucky. A major north-south rail line runs through the heart of the region, and Henderson has the only railroad bridge across the Ohio River between Louisville, Kentucky, and Metropolis, Illinois. Several industrial parks are located next to CSX lines and have active rail service.

Maritime

Northwest Kentucky is bounded by the mighty Ohio River on the north and west and the Tradewater on the southwest. The Green River flows through the Kyndle region and along its eastern boundary. Barge traffic can be found all along these rivers, but especially on the Ohio.

Henderson County Riverport

One of the most active riverports in the Midwest, the Henderson County Riverport is a full-port, intermodal facility serving local, national and international industry. Located at mile 808 on the Ohio River and twenty miles from the confluence with the Green River, the Henderson County Riverport provides customers with the most economical transportation available.

In addition to its geographical benefit, The Henderson County Riverport is a customs port-of-entry for the receiving and shipping of foreign goods and maintains FTZ status. The Henderson port offers unique advantages over other area ports with a lifting capacity of 250,000 pounds, good road access for heavy and oversized truckloads, and rail service provided by CSX transportation.

Air

Commercial air service is available at Evansville Regional Airport 30 minutes from Northwest Kentucky. Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport is also just 30 minutes away. Louisville International and Nashville International are each just two hours away. Additionally, three excellent general aviation airports serve Northwest Kentucky at Henderson, Sturgis and Providence, each located near active industrial sites.

Utilities

Easy access to low cost utilities sets the Northwest Kentucky region apart. Year after year, businesses, industries and homeowners in the area consistently enjoy some of the lowest electrical power rates in the nation. Natural gas, water and sewer service are all available from many reliable providers.
